Telescope
Launch
I had the opportunity to work on the Webby award winning James Webb Telescope Launch. I worked with my animation team to develop graphics for explaining the deployment of the craft after launch and worked behind the camera on set. It was a thrilling Christmas seeing all my hard-work come to fruition.
Interstitials
My team and I created large full screen backgrounds that showed digital renderings of celestial nebulas. The looped videos were keeping with the brand color palette, expanded the graphics for the lower thirds, and added interest to the set.
Lower Third Titles
It was crucial to address lower third titles early in the process, as they were expected to be used frequently and were likely to undergo multiple revisions. I contributed to their execution, exploring ways to effectively incorporate the hexagonal motifs that were a key element of the JWST branding and keeping the most up-to-date list of names for the livestream since this was a 2021 COVID-19 surge season.
Below is the livestream in full. It starts on the section where my 3D model is shown but you can scrub through to see all the other elements I got to work on with my team.
